Suzanne Droese is Dallas’ answer to the modern mom about town. Married to an architect and loving mother of twin boys, this Rest + Revolution Public Relations exec divulges all of her favorite things from travel essentials to chic charities.
Way to Start the Day:
With my husband and kids – all in my bed for “snuggle time” – followed by the perfect cup of coffee and the morning newspaper.
City to Visit
San Miguel de Allende – It’s so peaceful and the locals are always so lovely and gracious.
A stockpile of my favorite magazines, a cashmere wrap, my iPhone, moisturizer and sunscreen, the perfect pair of white jeans, Tod’s driving shoes, and my Lanvin sunglasses. I obviously don’t subscribe to the “pack light” philosophy.
Actress of All Time:
A tie between Ann-Margret and Nicole Kidman – both redheads, of course.
Way to Unwind:
With a glass of red wine or champagne and good friends.
TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art benefiting amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art, which I’m co-chairing this year. Mark your calendars for October 23.
Best Gift Ever Received:
My Cartier Trinity ring. It symbolizes a number of special and sentimental things to me. In a non-material sense: my children and the confidence, faith and unconditional love given to me by my parents.
Biggest Personal Indulgence:
I have two – beautiful shoes and fine stationery.
I always bring out-of-towners to:
Tillman’s Roadhouse, Fair Park, the Neiman Marcus flagship store, the Dallas Arts District, and Equinox.
The Dallas Arts District is the cornerstone of culture. Not only is it home to the city’s amazing visual and performing arts institutions, the world-class architecture is innovative, fresh and modern. It’s also awe-inspiring and rather humbling to see the generosity of so many Dallas citizens, whose vision and gifts made the Arts District come to life.
